What is the path to the change icon option? Does it only come up during new installations?
You can bring up the configuration screen by pressing ‘Shift’ while starting DropboxPortableAHK or by passing the ‘-setup’ parameter on command line.
I can’t seem to get the icon colour to change even after deleting and reinstalling the program.
Scratch that, it’s now changed. I didn’t do anything to it. Sorry for causing problem.
The picture shows you should go to bed earlier! 😉
Great new features you added! Especially the ability to select between different Dropbox icons will be handy in my case (work and home dropbox folder).
Thank you.
I thought Port Dropbox would update Dropbox. My Dropbox is still at 1.1.45 (port is 1.4.6.0).
How can I manually update the Dropbox files? (Windows 7)
I was wondering the same thing.
Nevermind. Nick has already explained this thoroughly here:

Is there any way to use the new Camera Upload feature with this?
No.
Hi! I’ve just started using DropboxPortableAHK in a encrypted partition of my hard disk (I’m using TrueCrypt). There was no previous installation of Dropbox. Configuration of DropboxPortableAHK was ok, Dropbox started running with the selected icon color, but after some time Dropbox was shown as being “upgraded”, the icon changed to light blue, the version in Dropbox icon name changed to a newer one and syncing and indexing started all over again. After that, the next time DropboxPortableAHK was open, an error message was shown warning “the Dropbox version is not supported”. I accepted downloading a supported version, but after some time everything happened again. I had unchecked Dropbox update during configuration of DropboxPortableAHK, but, judging by what I’ve just told, it probably made no difference. Please, could you help me solve that? I really liked DropboxPortableAHK and would be very happy being able to use it. It’s pretty intelligent. Thanks!
Please get in touch with me through the support page. I will then send you a newer version, which might solve your problem.
Is it possible to get a log out option from the sync-and-go feature?
Log out from what? Dropbox? Your Windows account?
Also, I’m guessing that the “update prevention” only stops Dropbox from being able to successfully update, but it will still try. Any work arounds for this? Like say, blocking its ability to check for an update when running the latest supported version.
There is no way to stop Dropbox from trying to update itself, except if someone would modify the Dropbox.exe using a hex editor or something similar.
Actually, I have thought about it a bit longer.
SyncAndGo could be quite powerful with some small additions.
Like say, if its not configured to shutdown, etc. Then it would just keep the Portable icon up. Then it would be great to have some options in the right click menu for when it has finished syncing:
Logoff windows
Shutdown windows
Reboot windows
Hibernate windows
exit dropbox
I’ll add some options to the context menu of the tray icon in some of the next versions. Thanks for the suggestions.
What is the chance that more colors will be added to the install?
What colors and how many do you need? If you create the needed icons, I am happy to integrate them.
