    • The zip file contains the current version. MD5 errors are produced by an aborted download because of an antivirus or firewall application or a internet connection hickup. Please check those.

  1. Buenas tardes, tengo una duda.

Se ha actualizado mi dropbox portable, pero me relentiza todo el ordenador, puede ser por la actualizacion o puede ser problema mio.

    • Please post your questions in English or German, I don’t speak other languages.
Slowdown of the computer can be caused by a slow usb drive or a bad driver for the usb drive. There are some optimized drivers around, but I can’t help you with that.
Check the forum thread, it was mentioned there already.

  2. Hi I’m trying to install the latest version of DropboxAHK on my school computer but it gets automatically removed. I think Microsoft Security Essentials sees this update as a virus and removes it instantly.

    • I can’t do anything about it if there is software on the computer you want to use that automatically removes certain software, sorry.
Try convincing your teacher that it will be easier for you to work if you can use DropboxPortableAHK on school computers.

    • if the new version is identified wrongly as malware/virus and therefore gets removed, a better long term option in my mind would be to file false positive report to microsoft:

kevin, maybe you could provide nick with the necessary MS product version infos and he would be willing to report this.
that would of help for all future DBPHK users dealing with MS security products 🙂

    • Allthough it got fixed by itself I uploaded the DropboxPortableAHK.exe to an online virus scanner. This scanner checks the file for virusses, etc. against a lot of scanners. 2 scanners found a virus. Probably false positives though. http://j.mp/11KUnIn

  3. Don’t know how but it got fixed by itself the next day. So it fully works now. Maybe there was a server error here at my school. Still thanks for the help though 🙂

  4. i have updated to the latest version and it seemed to work for a few days, but i’m now constantly stuck on “upgrading” again. is this normal? it seems to grab a lot of resources.

    • Yes, Dropbox has updated again, so the new update gets rolled out.
As long as you only see the “upgrading” message, then this is no issue. It will go away after 15 minutes and the sync goes on during this time, only the progress is not visible.

    • great. thanks so much for the information. now at least i know the time duration and that it’s still syncing. good to know. geez!! can’t they just settle on a version!?!?! thanks for all the great support.
